Sally McNamara was born and raised in Nottingham, England. She earned a BA (Hons) degree in International Politics at Loughborough University, Leicestershire, UK. Before joining Heritage she worked at the American Legislative Exchange Council as Director of international relations for 2 years. Previously, she worked in the European Parliament, Brussels as political aide to Roger Helmer MEP. And before that, as Regional Press Officer for the Conservative Party in the East Midlands, UK. She resides in Washington D.C. Sally was elected to Nottingham City Council, UK in October 1999, and re-elected to her Nottingham North Constituency for the Conservative Party in May 2000.
